Shania + John’s wedding day was nothing less than perfect. The love they share for each other and the Lord was clear that nothing could stand in the way of starting their “forever” together. This is what my photographer heart lives for you guys: capturing the real, authentic, raw, ordinarily magical love stories. On a random Thursday evening at a little white chapel in the middle of the country side these two said I do.

When you choose to choose one another over all the other details and say I do in the middle of a pandemic, love truly is all that remains. I think that is the most romantic and special thing. Choosing love in the midst of chaos. Choosing to be with someone despite all the waves crashing around you. I always loved love stories that involved difficulty, stressful situations, and a little desperation, because those times bring you a little closer together and make you appreciate the good times even more.

Your wedding day can be as simple or as lavish as you make it. But in the end all that matter’s is the two of you, the love you share, and those who love and support you. What’s left behind after this day is a lifetime to build together with the two of you, your rings, and hopefully the love and support of your family and friends. The dress and the suit will be packed away never to be worn again, the cake long gone and devoured, the flowers wilted and faded, the hair and the makeup washed away, the invitations placed in storage or a keepsake album, the venue used for that special occasion. All that’s tangibly left from your efforts and planning are your photos and your rings.
