Hello there!

Ellie here! Just a lover of  sunny skies, and mountain vibes, oh and receptions with dance parties. I love getting to create moments of pure magic with my couples and I love getting to help tell a part of their story. Whether that is on their wedding day,  an adventure session, or family photos I am so down!

A few fun facts about me- I'm married to my high school crush- Jonathan and we have two sweet golden retrievers, Harper Lee & Honey, and most recently added a little lop eared bunny to the fam, Pepper. We love traveling to new places and getting to explore new scenery and try new food! Golden hour is seriously my happy hour + favorite time of day, I love watching the colors turn to different more vibrant hues as the sun descends down at the end of the day. The light really does hit different and just turns the whole landscape into this magical scene and to be able to capture that light is even more amazing. 

 

 I love a good big wedding but I'm also a huge advocate for elopements and intimate wedding days We planned our own elopement for March of 2020 and my own wedding day experience really opened my eyes to the reality that elopements can be fun and beautiful without all the traditional frills of a huge wedding especially  if the idea of a big wedding day gives you anxiety.

The biggest question I have asked myself since starting my photography business in 2016 is "What is your why?" What is it about this career path and job that keeps you fueled and coming back for more? The thing is this is more than just a job, it's a passion and it fills me up to be able  adventure in new or familiar places with my clients and couples. My "why" is the connection I get to build with my clients, the ability to make an income to help support my little family and be passionate and fulfilled  by my job, and to serve others with tangible moments and memories they will hopefully look back on for years to come.

I consider my style real and joyful with warm tones. Sunset lighting, & real moments are what I live for. When I am driving back from a shoot there is nothing better than turning the music up and feeling that warm sun shining down on me. Those are the moments my photographer soul lives for. Photography to me is all about capturing life's most simple & beautiful moments. It's the laughter and the love that surrounds us everyday. "God creates the beauty. My camera and I are a witness." And the beauty that surrounds us is truly abundant.
